Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

"Sometimes the hardest part of asking for help is not knowing if the person across from you will understand where you come from. I'm Mery, a bilingual, bicultural Latina clinical social worker, and I created my practice as a space where you do not have to explain your culture before we get to the real work. I work with adults and seniors carrying grief, a chronic health diagnosis, the exhaustion of motherhood, or stress that will not let up. Many of my clients are managing more than one of these at once, often while caring for others. I meet you there, in English or in Spanish, and we build a plan that fits your life."

My approach to therapy

"I believe every person's experiences are unique, and healing looks different for everyone. In our work together I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused approaches, and solution-focused and narrative techniques to help you understand your patterns, build practical coping tools, and move through anxiety, depression, grief, or stress in a way that fits your life.

As a bilingual, Latinx therapist, I bring a culturally attuned lens to our sessions, especially for clients managing chronic health conditions like diabetes or navigating maternal mental health. Together, we will create a path toward a life that feels more balanced and aligned with your values."

What you can expect from me

"In our sessions we look at the thoughts and patterns that keep you stuck, and build concrete tools you can use between sessions, not just talk about once a week. When

grief or a health diagnosis is part of the picture, we make room to process it without rushing. You leave each session with something to carry forward."

"You do not need the words figured out before you reach out. Many clients start therapy exhausted, unsure, or carrying something they have never said out loud in either language. That is a normal place to begin. Over time, the goal is to feel steadier, understood, and less alone. If that sounds like what you need, I would be glad to talk with you."
