Great to meet you!

CURRENTLY NOT ACEPTING NEW CLIENTS

WAITLIST ONLY - Please reach out for inquiry

Please note: I am mainly looking for those interested in long-term psychotherapy and med management.

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with over 12 years of experience, including training at Kings County Hospital and specialized fellowships at UCSD and Mount Sinai. While my background is in rigorous medical science, my philosophy is human-centered.

I am happy to work with anyone who has an interest in self-exploration and critical examination. I believe in showing appreciation and respect for your emotional pain, rather than simply categorizing it as an "illness." By taking an active and collaborative role in therapy and medication management, we will work together to enhance your self-awareness. My goal is to help you achieve self-actualization through in depth work that is beyond symptomatic management.

I DO NOT PRESCRIBE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES

Please note: I am mainly looking for those interested in long-term psychotherapy and med management.

My approach operates at the intersection of modern psychiatry and deep therapeutic work. I integrate standard therapies that provide concrete tools for symptomatic relief such as with third-wave therapies including ACT, EFT, and Metacognition for symptomatic relief. Our foundation for in depth analysis of our unconscious patterns we use foundation of psycho-dynamic approach, such as Jungian and Rogerian schools of thought. To establish safety and regulation, we work on the foundations of trauma informed care and polyvagal theories, as well as grounded somatic (body-based) therapies to get to the core of one's suffering and their identity and work towards regulating one's nervous system out of a state of fight/fight/freeze into safety, connection, and worth.

I believe that healing requires more than just "talking"—it requires engaging the nervous system directly. Because of my background in Consult-Liaison psychiatry, I understand that anxiety and depression are often physical states as much as they are mental ones. Together, we will work to create awareness of your internal narrative, allowing you to challenge self-defeating beliefs and move beyond the stories that keep you stuck.

PLEASE do not book an appointment if you are looking for medication management of controlled substances.

What you can expect from me

The first 1-3 sessions is a deep dive into "mapping the territory." We will not just check off a list of symptoms; we will look at the full architecture of your life—your history, your biology, your stressors, and your values.

I prioritize creating a non-judgmental space where we can look at what is blocking your natural state of flow. We will discuss your medical history and past experiences with treatment, but we will also look for the root causes of your distress. By the end of the visit, you will have a clear, actionable plan that may include medication to lower the "temperature" of the nervous system, alongside therapeutic strategies to build long-term resilience. You will leave with a roadmap to get back to yourself.

Please be aware that therapy will be quite active on the client's part, as this will not be a passive process.
