Are you an adolescent/young adult woman who feels big emotions deeply? Are you highly-sensitive to your environment and people? Do you feel anxious and out of control of your emotions? Mia specializes in treating highly-sensitive and deeply feeling young people teens, 20s, 30s. Her clients come to her experiencing low-motivation, depression, anxiety, low-self-esteem, ADHD, Autism and emotional/behavioral dysregulation. Mia uses a warm and collaborative approach with clients and their families.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Mia provides a comforting environment where clients and families can share and feel safe and supported in therapy. Mia leads with warmth, compassion and safety in her approach. She is trained in EMDR trained with a SAFE approach. Mia uses modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, somatic-based, EMDR, narrative therapy, CBT & DBT. Mia is also a certified yoga instructor and integrate body-mind-heart connection into therapy. She provides ADHD assessment and screening.

Mia is fully committed to supporting you and being there for you. She focuses on your strengths so that you feel empowered in your unique and special journey. Mia will to do what it takes to make sure you are getting the appropriate support & care. As such, she also provide support to clients and their family in monthly family sessions. Mia hopes that you will walk away from session feeling confident in your strengths and resources, as well as feeling emotionally connected, safe and held.
