Great to meet you!

When you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, caught in patterns you can't seem to break, or struggling to feel connected to the people closest to you, even everyday life can feel exhausting. Perhaps obsessive thoughts leave you constantly questioning yourself, depression makes it difficult to find motivation, or painful experiences have affected your sense of safety and trust. I work with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, and trauma. These challenges can also overlap with eating disorders, sleep disorders, family issues, stress management, panic disorders, grief or loss, physical health concerns, maternal mental health, men's issues, women's issues, PTSD, infertility, or chronic conditions. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely understood and supported. Together, we can explore what's keeping you stuck, strengthen your relationships, and develop practical strategies that help you feel more confident, grounded, and in control of your life.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both the person you are and the relationships, experiences, emotions, and challenges that have shaped your life. We'll explore how anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, and trauma may be affecting your emotional wellbeing, daily routines, and connections with others. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where you feel comfortable being yourself while developing tools that support meaningful change. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of responding, while Exposure and Response Prevention can help you gradually face anxiety and obsessive fears without relying on familiar compulsive behaviors. I may also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you navigate difficult emotions while staying connected to your values, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills. When appropriate, EMDR and Attachment Based approaches can help you process painful experiences and understand how past relationships influence your present connections. For couples and families, Gottman Method and Family Focused approaches can support healthier communication, deeper understanding, and stronger relationships. I may also draw from Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Strength Based approaches, and Motivational Interviewing to help you recognize your strengths and build practical steps toward your goals. Our sessions will balance compassion, curiosity, and evidence based strategies while honoring your individual needs and pace.

What you can expect from me

You don't have to face everything on your own or have all the answers before beginning therapy. During our first few sessions, we'll take time to understand what brought you here, what has been most difficult, and what you hope will feel different. Whether you're seeking support individually, as a couple, or as a family, we'll work together to establish meaningful goals that reflect your experiences, values, and priorities. You can expect me to bring warmth, humor, and genuine curiosity to our conversations while creating a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable sharing difficult emotions and experiences without judgment. Progress may look like feeling less overwhelmed by anxiety, managing obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors with greater confidence, reconnecting with yourself when depression feels heavy, improving communication in your relationships, or developing a stronger sense of safety after traumatic experiences. For couples and families, progress may also mean understanding one another more deeply, rebuilding trust, and creating healthier ways of navigating conflict. We'll continue checking in on your goals and adjusting our work as your needs evolve, helping you move forward with greater emotional balance, stronger connections, and confidence in your ability to navigate life's challenges.
