Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University and extensive experience in providing psychiatric care in acute and inpatient settings. My clinical background includes the assessment and treatment of adults experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-related concerns, substance use disorders, and other complex mental health conditions.

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I take the time to understand each client’s unique experiences, concerns, strengths, and treatment goals rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or symptoms.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessment, medication management, psychoeducation, and ongoing treatment planning. When medication is appropriate, I take an evidence-based and thoughtful approach, working collaboratively with clients so they understand their treatment options and feel empowered in their care.

My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood. I believe effective psychiatric care involves treating the whole person and building a collaborative relationship that supports meaningful and lasting improvements in mental health and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their experiences.

My practice is informed by attachment theory, which recognizes that early relationships and life experiences can influence emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationships, and patterns of coping. Understanding these patterns can provide meaningful insight into current challenges and support healthier ways of relating to oneself and others.

I take a whole-person approach to psychiatric care, considering each client’s history, symptoms, relationships, stressors, strengths, and goals. My clinical focus includes psychiatric evaluation, diagnostic assessment, medication management, and treatment of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-related concerns, and other complex psychiatric conditions.

When medication is appropriate, I use an evidence-based approach and work collaboratively with clients to develop treatment plans that align with their needs and goals. My goal is to help clients gain greater insight into their mental health, feel empowered in their care, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. We will take time to discuss what brings you to treatment, your current concerns, personal and psychiatric history, and the areas of your life that may be affecting your mental health.

I view the first session as an opportunity to begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship while developing a clear understanding of your needs and goals. We will work together to identify priorities for treatment and discuss options that may be appropriate for you, including medication management when indicated.

By the end of the initial session, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and informed about the next steps in your care. Treatment is a collaborative process, and I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in decisions about your mental health.
