I attended the University of Washington where I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in social work.
I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy and the majority of my clients were adopted. Attachment and trauma are areas I specialize in.
I specialize in working with families who have adopted children, children and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. In order for the family system and relationships to improve, I believe it is very important to work with the parents (when possible and willing) as well as the children.
I am often a family's 3rd or 4th therapist when traditional therapy has not worked for them. My main goals when working with a family is to first help them feel heard and understood, increase safety, and increase communication.
