Great to meet you!

She is a cognitive behavioral therapist who incorporates a mindfulness approach. She helps clients identify their core beliefs and thought patterns that drive their behaviors while identifying their cognitive distortions that prevent them from living the healthy, functional life that he/she desires. Micaela Cappa is a graduate from Bethel Seminary of San Diego, California, and has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

My approach to therapy

Micaela has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.. She has trained and interned at the San Diego Rescue Mission, providing individual, family, and couples therapy for clients with comorbid severe mental health experiences from 2011-2016. She considers looking at the pneuma-bio-psycho-social components of a client, with the belief that these components are interconnected and make up the whole self.

What you can expect from me

Her goal is that the client experiences a safe, non-judgmental place in the therapeutic relationship where they can work through their “stuff” in their own personal journey of healing.
