Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Micah, a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of Bold Steps Therapy in Dallas, Texas. I specialize in working with work with adults, teenage boys (13+), and families in reaching their goals, managing anger and anxiety, changing behaviors, and developing new ways of thinking. Before starting my private practice, I spent years working in intensive outpatient, nonprofits, criminal justice, homeless services, and foster care and adoption. I’ve seen firsthand how life’s challenges can weigh people down—but I’ve also seen the strength it takes to push forward. That’s what therapy is about: not just surviving, but finding a way to thrive.

My approach to therapy

At Bold Steps Therapy, I work with with adults, teen boys, and families who are ready to break patterns, manage stress, and show up differently for themselves and their families. My approach is direct but supportive, real but compassionate. We’ll focus on actual progress—not just talking in circles—so you can start moving toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Whether you’re working through past trauma, improving relationships, or just trying to figure out your next steps, I’m here to support you. I believe therapy should be real, honest, and even a little funny sometimes. In our sessions, expect a mix of straightforward conversations, practical tools, and maybe even a few jokes.
