Great to meet you!

Hey there! I am an LPC-MHSP in the state of Tennessee, having pursued an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I have worked in a variety of settings providing individual and family therapy in community mental health, high acuity residential treatment, and in private practice, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the mental health field and how to address a variety of client issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to connect with each client, find out where they feel their life has taken a negative turn or has become unmanageable without assistance, and provide them with the tools and insight to handle those issues. I firmly believe that my job is to work myself out of a job. Needing help is one thing, being dependent on a therapist to function in day to day life is another! I want you to learn how to succeed without me!

What you can expect from me

Typically a first session with me is going to be about gathering information, finding out who you are and how you tick, and discovering where you feel life took that "hard right turn" and what you want life to look like going forward. Having that picture in mind will help us know how we are going to work together in our professional relationship.
