Great to meet you!

Choosing a psychiatrist especially when dealing with addiction or complex mental health concerns is a deeply personal decision. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to reach out for help, and you deserve care that is expert, compassionate, and tailored to your needs.

I am board-certified in Psychiatry and fellowship-trained in Addiction Psychiatry. This advanced training gives me specialized expertise in treating substance use disorders, co-occurring anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and mood disorders. Addiction is complex, affecting your brain, emotions, behavior, relationships, and physical health.

Most importantly, I provide care that is collaborative, respectful, and empathetic. You can expect thoughtful guidance, clear explanations, and a safe space where your questions and concerns are heard. My goal is to help you work toward recovery, emotional balance, and meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach as a psychiatrist is whole-person and evidence-based. I provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnostic assessment, and medication management while also incorporating supportive, holistic strategies that enhance overall well-being.

I draw from evidence-based therapeutic principles such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, stress management, sleep and nutrition support, lifestyle modification, and other practical tools when clinically appropriate.

I consider biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors to better understand each patient’s needs and develop personalized treatment plans.

In addiction psychiatry, I recognize that every recovery path is unique. My care focuses on practical tools, measurable goals, and helping patients understand the factors driving substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. Treatment is structured, collaborative, and designed to support mood stability, improved daily functioning, and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported. We will look at what’s happening in your mind, body, and behavior, and begin identifying practical tools for recovery and mental health.

Here’s what usually happens:

  • We discuss your symptoms, habits, and possible contributing factors.
  • I provide guidance for managing addiction, co-occurring mental health conditions, and, if appropriate, medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
  • Together, we create a personalized plan that may include medication, therapy, lifestyle adjustments, and holistic strategies.
  • You will have a safe, nonjudgmental space to reflect, problem-solve, and explore change.
  • Sessions focus on long-term recovery, overall wellness, and practical steps you can use in daily life.
  • Every session is designed to give clarity, support, and actionable tools so you can feel better and move forward with confidence.
