Michael Akwo-Adelowo

I am a board-certified PMHNP. I have a Bachelor in Pre-Med from TSU and A Bachelor in Science of Nursing from MWSU. I obtained my Master of Science in PMHNP from Walden University. My previous experiences have been working as the director of Behavioral health and substance use services for an FQHC in Brownwood, TX. My recent employment was as a Psychiatric NP at Basepoint in Forney, TX. As a PMHNP I have treated clients with mental health and substance use problems of all different age groups.

I work one on one with my clients, tailoring their treatment to their unique experience and their disease process. Every treatment starts by us building a therapeutic relationship of trust. I believe the client is a product of their social environment and culture. So I focus on the holistic approach to care.

A friendly and therapeutic environment that is focused on the client. My goal is to work with the client to achieve the most appropriate diagnosis and then plan a treatment that is specific to the diagnosis. Safety is always my number one priority.
