Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Mike... What is the meaning of your trauma? Has it robbed you of your trust, your self-esteem, unguarded intimacy? Do you struggle to connect with your partner? Are you searching to regain your power? Are you trying to find your identity, regain your sense of self? I have the courage to listen to your trauma, not avoid, not blame you. I have worked with over 500 adults moving forward from severe PTSD/trauma or diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I have extensive experience with sexual trauma, both childhood and adult, combat trauma, and situational/1st responder trauma.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Sexologist, I am also a hypnotherapist. We can incorporate hypnosis and relaxation techniques into your therapy. Sex positive, LGBTQ+ affirming.

My approach to therapy

For individuals: Whether you're a veteran, a first responder, a survivor of childhood sexual trauma, or someone quietly unraveling the damage done by a painful religious upbringing, I want you to know this is a space where all of it is welcome. I specialize in complex trauma recovery — including military and first responder PTSD, childhood sexual trauma, and religious trauma — and I bring both clinical precision and genuine compassion to every session. My goal is to help you reconnect with your sense of self-worth and find your authentic voice, maybe for the first time.

For couples: Relationships are hard. And when trauma, intimacy struggles, or identity questions enter the picture, they can feel impossible. I work with couples to restore balance, rebuild connection, and create the kind of relationship where both people actually feel seen. I'm a proud and affirming LGBTQ+ ally — every relationship and every identity is welcome here.

What you can expect from me

How I work: I draw on a wide range of evidence-based and experiential approaches depending on what you need — Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma and PTSD, Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, Hypnotherapy, and Autogenic Training to help regulate your nervous system and calm the body's stress response. This isn't a one-size-fits-all practice. It's thoughtful, tailored, and built around you.

Deep, lasting change is possible. I've seen it happen, and I'd love to help you get there.
