Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist and one of the few board-certified sex therapists (ABS) in northern Utah. Over 12 years and 500+ clients, I've specialized in trauma and PTSD — including sexual trauma, combat trauma, military sexual trauma, and childhood abuse. I'm also an LGBTQ affirming provider and a member of the Utah LGBTQ Affirming Therapists Guild, which matters in a state where affirming care is genuinely hard to find. I accept a broad insurance panel including Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, SelectHealth, Regence, and TriWest (for veterans).

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative — I don't rush toward insight before a client is ready for it, and I don't shy away from the most difficult material when they are. I draw on evidence-based frameworks for trauma and use them flexibly based on what each client needs. For sex therapy specifically, I bring clinical training and a non-judgmental stance to issues that most therapists aren't equipped to address.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you in and what you need most right now. I'll ask questions and listen carefully, and I'll share how I work. For trauma clients especially, I want our first session to feel safe — not overwhelming. We'll build the foundation before we go anywhere hard. You'll leave with a clear sense of what we're working on and with the knowledge that you've found someone who can actually handle your story.
