Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Michael and if you are reading this, you are likely considering therapy as an avenue to make a change in your life. This is the first step in building the life you deserve. Are you overwhelmed by your emotions? Stuck in your past? Worried about the future? Do you just feel...blah...like you can't quite put your finger on what's wrong? You are in the right place! These are questions I can help you answer.

I help men and women improve emotional skills, reduce symptoms, and develop coping skills to deal with life's challenges. Together, we will create a plan that works for you. This is your life and only you know the answer. You just need a little help uncovering it.

Change is scary and uncomfortable, but if you can choose to show up anyway, amazing things can happen. I realize coming to therapy can be tough and so I like to make your experience with me as safe and comfortable as possible.

I hope to hear from you soon.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to provide a safe space for you to talk about whatever you are comfortable with. I am very conversational and I do ask many questions. That being said, you are always free to decline to answer any questions without judgement. I will use humor in my sessions when it is indicated as I feel it can make some situations seem a little less heavy.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a little different than the follow up sessions. The first session starts with introductions and then I review the administrative side of things (confidentiality, where you are doing therapy from, financial responsibilities). Then I will tell you a bit more about myself and my approach. After that, I turn it over to you and ask you what brings you into therapy and what you are hoping to get out of our sessions. I will review your intake form with you and clarify any questions that I have about your information.
