My approach to therapy

I draw from a variety of clinical theories such as but not limited to CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing. I am not your traditional therapist! I am very casual and try to make my sessions conversational infused with humor. My goal is to have you work without it feeling too much like work.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to build rapport and help my clients to feel comfortable. I generally, gather personal information about my clients which includes discussing my clients' goals and desired outcomes in their treatment. Additionally, we fully discuss confidentiality, building a partnership through the therapy process, the clients' prior experience regarding therapy including processes that have worked or not worked, as well as clients' rights in the treatment process. Lastly, I answer any questions my clients have about the treatment process and/or that they have for me personally.
