In addition to being a psychologist in private practice, I I live in Manhattan and believe New York City is one of the most dynamic, diverse and interesting places in the world. I pursue many of the theatrical, film, concert and exhibit experiences that the city has to offer with passion. Furthermore, I believe that artistic and creative expression and references can truly enrich the therapeutic dialogue.
I bring a wealth of experience into my approach to therapy and work in a variety of modalities, including EMDR and the behavioral, cognitive, psycho-dynamic and humanistic/supportive schools of thought. I view each person I meet as a unique individual and tailor my approach based upon their prospective needs and preferences. I believe that we are a team investigating how to best solve their problems and bring enthusiasm, curiosity, compassion and humor into each session.
I have observed most of my clients complete therapy with a significant sense of satisfaction. Most report symptom relief and increased capacity for positive life experience. Additionally, they often walk away with increased self-awareness, expanded coping strategies, more compassion for self and others and a sense of hope.
