Great to meet you!

I specialize in Individual Therapy, and Marriage & Family Therapy as well. My professional path is a unique blend of journalism, education, and communication studies, which allows me to deeply understand and articulate the complex emotional and psychological experiences my clients bring into therapy. I work with individuals, couples, families, and teens, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds—including diverse races, ethnicities, religious traditions, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every client feels seen and understood.

My therapeutic approach is tailored to each client’s needs. I draw from a variety of modalities including Multicultural, Integrative, Client-Centered, Adlerian, Feminist Therapy, Sports Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In my work with couples and families, I often incorporate Structural Therapy, Family Systems, Generational approaches, Psychoeducation, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

I believe that therapy should meet the whole person—mentally, physically, and spiritually. Whether you are seeking support with personal growth, relationship challenges, or coping with life transitions, I will work alongside you to build positive behavioral changes, strengthen relationships, and improve coping skills. My commitment is to help you move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is customized to meet the unique needs of each client. I draw from a variety of therapeutic styles—including Multicultural, Integrative, Client-Centered, Adlerian, Feminist Therapy, Sports Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). For couples and families, I often incorporate Structural Therapy, Family Systems, Generational approaches, Psychoeducation, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

I believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals, couples, and families feel safe to explore challenges and growth. Every client brings their own experiences, values, and strengths, so I work collaboratively to design a therapy plan that supports positive behavioral changes, strengthens relationships, enhances coping skills, and encourages informed decision-making.

At the heart of my approach is the belief that therapy should address the whole person—mentally, physically, and spiritually—while honoring cultural, relational, and personal identity. My goal is to walk alongside you in your journey toward greater well-being and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect sessions with me to be both supportive and engaging. With over a decade of experience in teaching and public speaking, I bring a strong focus on education into therapy—helping clients not only process their emotions but also understand the “why” behind their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. You’ll leave sessions with practical tools, new perspectives, and a clearer sense of direction.

At the same time, I believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy. I often incorporate lightheartedness and even comedic relief when appropriate, so that clients feel comfortable, human, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs, ensuring that each session balances insight, growth, and compassion.

Most importantly, you can expect to be heard, validated, and empowered with strategies that support real and lasting change in your life.
