Thank you for your interest in my profile. My name is Michael Chesek and I am a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor working in the counseling field for close to a decade. My undergraduate degree was from Brown University, and my Master's degree was in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. I am also certified to practice EMDR. I specialize in treating trauma, addictions, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety and depression, and phase of life concerns.
My approach to therapy is very solution-focused and client-centered. It is important to me that therapy is a collaborative process which takes into account your unique goals, values, and individual perspectives. Together, we will explore the best course of therapy and most effective interventions to help empower you to overcome whatever obstacles you may be facing.
My hope for our time together is that you feel heard, understood, supported, enlightened with knowledge, and empowered to better manage your mental health concerns.
