Great to meet you!

My name is Michael Cody and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have worked with children, teenagers, adults, couples and elderly clients since 2019. My experience providing quality mental health therapy in a variety of settings, including substance abuse treatment centers, the department of children and families, the juvenile justice department, and community mental health agencies has shown me how mental illness can arise in a diverse set of people, but the solutions can be simple.

My approach to therapy

My practice is guided by the well-established psychological principle that the way we feel, largely arises from the way we think. I will teach you the ABC method for reducing emotional disturbance and change dysfunctional thought patterns. By changing how we think, we can increase feelings of self-acceptance and overall life satisfaction while deepening understanding of your inner feelings.

What you can expect from me

The decision to begin therapy may appear overwhelming and the prospect of opening up to a stranger can be difficult. My highest priority is to provide a warm and comfortable environment, where you can express yourself without fear of being misunderstood. I applaud you for taking this first step and look forward to meeting with you.
