Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Michael.

If you’re here, you may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns that just aren’t working anymore. Reaching out isn’t always easy—but it’s a strong first step toward change.

With over 20 years of experience in the counseling field, I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, anger, and relationship challenges. My approach is both practical and holistic, helping you build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward lasting change.

Growth starts with understanding your story and recognizing the patterns that keep you stuck. Together, we’ll work through those barriers and move toward what’s most important in your life.

My style is supportive, direct, and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based approaches while also considering the mental, physical, relational, and spiritual aspects of your life. For those who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for something different, I’m here to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma-informed, and grounded in a biopsychosocial-spiritual framework. I utilize evidence-based modalities including CBT, CPT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to help clients identify and change maladaptive patterns while building insight and self-regulation. A central focus of my work is narrative and parts-based exploration, supporting clients in understanding their story and developing healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. My style is active, structured, and collaborative, with an emphasis on measurable progress and functional improvement. I have extensive experience working with co-occurring disorders and complex trauma, and I offer faith-based integration when desired.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive environment where we begin by understanding what brought them to therapy and what they are hoping to change. I will ask questions to learn about their current concerns, relevant history, and key areas of their life, while also allowing space for them to share their story at their own pace. We will begin identifying initial goals for treatment and discussing what working together may look like moving forward. I also provide an overview of my therapeutic approach so clients know what to expect from the process. The first session is focused on building clarity, connection, and a foundation for meaningful therapeutic work.
