Great to meet you!

I became a licensed therapist in San Diego, California. I chose to become a therapist because I could see the pain in the world and people wanting to find a way to manage life stressors. I started working with kids, teenagers, and young adults with severe behavioral challenges. From there, I received training on how to treat individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, and even schizophrenia (psychosis).

My approach to therapy

AS a therapist in San Diego, CA, I combine geek culture with different forms of therapy. When it comes to therapy, I am a huge advocate of identifying your own strengths and interests to see if we can use them to bring about change. Whether you’re into anime, superheroes, comics, tabletop, role-playing games, video games, movies, or other forms of pop culture, the stories behind these fandoms can be used to improve our everyday lives alongside evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy.

What you can expect from me

I want to work with you to set obtainable goals so we may work together to be the individual you want to become. Every hero goes through a time where they doubt themselves or experience an internal struggle. At this pivotal moment in the heroes' journey, they will change their way of thinking or address a problem from a different angle in order to succeed. Through calm, welcoming, and open- mind environment I hope you are able to learn skills to do the same.
