I try to let the situation or the relationship with the client define the approach. My frame of reference is both Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, whichever or both lead to the client becoming their authentic self. This usually entails integrating the individual’s goals and aspirations with the issues that impede progress. The limiting issues (or “wounds”) are usually of considerable value, leading to insight.
Hope, constructive directions in which to move, insight into “why.”
