Great to meet you!

I have dedicated my career to caring for others and have been a nurse since 1995. My journey began as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) before becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) through Odessa College. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from The University of Texas at El Paso, followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. I completed my Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) training at Walden University and am board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

My clinical experience includes cardiac telemetry, home health, orthopedic care, medical-surgical nursing, and physical rehabilitation, giving me a strong appreciation for the connection between physical and mental health. I also serve as a director at Midland Memorial Hospital, where I support excellence in patient care and healthcare leadership.

I am passionate about mental health and wellness and committed to giving back to my community through compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported in a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment.

As a PMHNP, I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach to treatment. By listening to your unique story, concerns, and goals, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, education, lifestyle strategies, and therapy recommendations.

Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, or other mental health concerns, my goal is to help you reduce symptoms, build resilience, and improve your overall quality of life. It is my privilege to partner with you on your journey toward lasting mental wellness.

My approach to therapy

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adolescents and adults in a supportive, judgment-free environment. My goal is to help individuals navigate life's challenges with confidence by offering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and personalized treatment plans tailored to each person's unique needs. I understand that seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, and I strive to build meaningful therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and open communication.

I believe mental health treatment is most effective when it is collaborative and personalized. Every individual has a unique story, and I take the time to understand each client’s experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals. Together, we will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs—whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, stress, life transitions, or other mental health concerns.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. During this initial session, we'll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, discussing your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and the goals you hope to achieve through treatment.

My priority is to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences at your own pace. I believe the best outcomes come from working collaboratively, so you'll be an active partner in developing your treatment plan.

By the end of your first session, you can expect to have a better understanding of your mental health concerns, an initial diagnosis (when appropriate), recommendations for treatment, and a personalized plan that may include medication management, lifestyle strategies, therapy recommendations, or additional resources. Together, we'll establish realistic, meaningful goals that support your overall well-being and help you move toward lasting mental wellness.
