Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (2021) with more than 20 years of social work experience serving individuals experiencing severe mental illness, crisis situations, and emotional trauma. I currently work within a crisis receiving center, where I focus on building strong therapeutic relationships quickly and helping individuals move toward practical, solution-focused change. My approach integrates strength-based and EMDR therapy to support healing, resilience, and improved quality of life. I value compassionate, supportive counseling that recognizes the whole person, including the importance of spiritual values, personal meaning, and hope in the healing process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, practical, and relational. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow. I believe healing happens through strong therapeutic connection, honest reflection, and building on a person’s existing strengths and resilience. Using solution-focused, strength-based, and EMDR approaches, I help individuals process difficult experiences, develop healthier patterns, and move toward greater emotional wellness and quality of life. I also value the role of spiritual beliefs, purpose, and hope as important parts of the healing journey when meaningful to the individual.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment during their first session. My goal is to help individuals feel comfortable, heard, and respected while beginning to build a strong therapeutic connection. We will spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, personal strengths, and the goals you hope to work toward. I also take time to understand important areas of your life, including relationships, stressors, emotional health, coping patterns, and any spiritual values that may be meaningful to you. Together, we will begin identifying practical steps toward healing, growth, and improved quality of life at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
