Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with a master’s degree from Florida International University. I bring a compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered approach to mental health care. Before becoming a PMHNP, I worked for over seven years as an emergency room nurse, where I gained valuable experience caring for patients in psychiatric crisis. I’ve also trained and worked in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry settings, treating a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and substance use disorders.

I work with adults from all walks of life and especially value helping individuals who are navigating complex emotional challenges, life transitions, or recovery from addiction. I strive to create a supportive space where we can openly discuss your goals and concerns, and I tailor treatment plans to meet your unique needs using evidence-based approaches. My goal is to help you feel better and reclaim a sense of control, meaning, and connection.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each individual’s unique journey. I believe in building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust and open communication. I take the time to understand not just your symptoms but your story so we can create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, values, and lifestyle. I use evidence-based strategies, including medication management and supportive psychotherapy, and I emphasize education and shared decision-making to empower you throughout the healing process. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and actively involved in your care.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and more in control of their mental health. I aim to provide practical tools, helpful insights, and a sense of direction that you can apply between sessions. Over time, you can expect to gain greater clarity about your thoughts and emotions, a deeper understanding of your challenges, and increased confidence in managing symptoms. Whether we are working on stabilizing mood, reducing anxiety, or navigating life transitions, my goal is to help you make meaningful progress and feel empowered in your healing journey.
