Great to meet you!

I offer in-person as well as remote sessions. I will approach you and your challenges with curiosity, compassion, and creativity. My intention is to build a relationship with you that empowers and inspires you to pursue your desired goals. By strengthening your motivation and self-belief through a trusted and powerful therapeutic alliance, we will help you decrease your sensitivities to certain thoughts, feelings, and environmental factors that inhibit your ability to be your best.

My approach to therapy

I combine Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, CBT, somatic and narrative therapy to help you create the tools you'll use to improve two aspects of your life: your ability to learn new things, and your ability to unlearn old things.

What you can expect from me

Therapy moves through a process of three stages. In the first stage, we learn together about what is going on, why, where it happens and where it is absent. We learn about your strengths, skills, and available resources. In the second stage you use what you have learned and apply it in your life. "Now that I know what I know, how do I apply what I know in my daily life?" In this stage I help guide you into tangible actions that might bring desired change into your lived experience for you to explore and report back on. Effective? Keep doing it. Not so effective? Let's explore another method. In the final stage, we develop the concepts necessary for you to continue to maintain these applied ideas, skills and beliefs amidst life's uncertain and variable changes. Learn, apply, maintain.
