I'm a 46 year old Married, Cis- Gendered, Straight Man, who uses He/His pronouns. That said I value and continue to educate myself in Diversity, and Inclusivity issues. I am a Father of two children and have been a counselor and meditation instructor for over 15 years. I have worked to help treat extreme states of mind with multiple diagnosis for over 20 years. I teach and supervise clinicians. I love the outdoors, photography and community engagement.
I work with brief or long term clients who are willing to look at the internal and external influences in their life. I see that people can discover a purpose in their obstacles and learn to influence if not integrate them into their wellness. Talking about it helps, but it's also good to become familiar with your intuition and somatic experience of knowing. I will use mindfulness techniques that fit your lifestyle and interests. I also use evidence-based approaches.
Hello thanks for reading on to see if we are a good fit. Ultimately you will get out of therapy what you put in, but it is good to know the various approaches your therapist can take.
