Great to meet you!

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by stress, trauma, anxiety, or a major life transition, you’re not alone. I work with adults who are carrying a lot, especially veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, and men navigating high-stress careers, relationship challenges, or the lasting effects of past experiences. With more than 25 years of public service experience, including service in the U.S. Navy, law enforcement, child welfare, and work with veterans in the Department of Veterans Affairs, I bring a grounded understanding of the pressures many of my clients face.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I help clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, substance use, stress management, relationship concerns, emotional regulation, and life transitions using evidence-based care tailored to their needs. My work draws from CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based interventions, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy to help clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change.

Therapy should feel like a partnership. Together, we’ll identify tools and next steps that fit your goals so you can feel more steady, more connected, and better equipped to move forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is built on trust, collaboration, and genuine connection. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build practical skills that support lasting change.

My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy to help clients manage stress, improve emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and move forward with greater confidence.

I have extensive experience supporting veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, men, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, substance use, burnout, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Above all, I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel supported while doing meaningful work toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and start building a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing what’s on your mind at your own pace.

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you’re facing, your strengths, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experience, and you’ll have plenty of space to ask questions too.

Together, we’ll begin identifying practical goals and next steps that reflect what matters most to you. Many clients leave the first session feeling more understood, more hopeful, and clearer on how therapy can support meaningful, lasting change.
