Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience in crisis intervention, substance use treatment, and mental health care. I specialize in addiction, co-occurring disorders, trauma, and helping people make real, lasting behavioral change. My approach is direct, structured, and grounded in evidence-based practices, but always practical and human. I’ll meet you where you are, while also challenging you to take ownership and build something sustainable in your recovery.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is practical, structured, and focused on real change. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you understand your patterns, regulate emotions, and build skills that actually work in everyday life. I’m direct and collaborative—I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also challenge you when it matters. The goal is to help you create change that isn’t just theoretical, but something you can sustain outside of the therapy room.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, you can expect a straightforward, respectful conversation focused on understanding what brings you in and what you want to change. I’ll ask questions to get a clear picture of your situation, history, and goals, and we’ll begin identifying practical steps you can start working on right away. I aim to create a calm, structured environment where you can be honest without judgment. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer sense of direction and what working together will look like moving forward.
