Michael Mazucci-Mambala

I'm originally from Brooklyn, New York. I joined the United States Air Force after high school and served as a meteorologist until my retirement in 2012. I then decided to chart a new path and pursue a career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a LCSW, I have gathered significant experience treating substance use disorders as well as psychological trauma.

When I treat problems like depression, anxiety, anger issues and others, I use a person-centered approach with cognitive behavioral therapy to elicit positive change and wellbeing for my clients. I also utilize Feminist Theory as well as Psychodynamic approaches for problems that clients live with. My theoretical perspectives as well as the techniques that I use have proven results and clients experience great satisfaction as I help guide them through positive change.

I meet clients where they are and have successfully helped people who distrust or are afraid of working with male therapists feel at ease in session. My life experience as a military retiree informs my approach with veterans and active duty troops, as I has been exposed to the cultures of all military service branches. I provide treatment with compassion, empathy and with a gentle touch unique to those who understand and treat people who have been traumatized.
