Great to meet you!

Michael Mulqueen is a board certified clinical social worker from Queens, New York. Michael studied at Simmons College where he obtained a MSW and a Certificate in Urban Leadership in Clinical Social Work. He worked directly as a Multi-Systemic Therapist (MST) and Supervisor for over 8 years and has been training others as an MST Expert since 2021. He was also the director of the New Horizon Counseling Center in Rockaway Beach for 2 years.

My approach to therapy

Michael draws from DBT, mindfulness, and CBT to create a structured, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach. He has over a decade of experience working with individuals, adolescents, and families who have experienced anxiety, depression, ADHD, family challenges and trauma.

What you can expect from me

We will use the first session to get know you. From there, we will set goals that can be observed and tracked week to week. Michael will help you to understand the connection between thoughts feelings and actions and what may be preventing you from reaching your goals. He will help you identify and troubleshoot strategies to overcome the barriers that are identified in session.
