Great to meet you!

You don't have to navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, or life's challenges alone. I believe the best psychiatric care happens when patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate in decisions about their treatment.

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who works with adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, mood disorders, sleep difficulties, and substance use concerns.

Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I spent years caring for patients in a variety of healthcare settings. Those experiences reinforced the importance of treating each person with compassion, respect, and genuine curiosity about their unique story.

I understand that reaching out for mental health support can feel intimidating. My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns and asking questions. Whether you are facing a recent challenge or have been struggling for years, I strive to help you feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the treatment process.

I have a strong interest in the connection between mental and physical health and enjoy helping clients understand the many factors that can influence emotional well-being. My focus is on helping people build resilience, improve quality of life, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe the best psychiatric care is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based practice. My role is not simply to prescribe medication, but to work alongside you in understanding your symptoms, identifying your goals, and developing a treatment plan that fits your needs and values.

Treatment begins with taking the time to understand the whole person, not just a diagnosis. Together, we will explore factors that may be affecting your mental health, including sleep, stress, relationships, medical conditions, lifestyle habits, and life circumstances.

When medication is appropriate, I discuss the potential benefits, risks, and alternatives so that you can make informed decisions about your care. I also incorporate practical strategies and psychotherapy-informed interventions to support overall wellness.

I believe that meaningful progress happens when clients feel empowered, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. My goal is to provide thoughtful, compassionate care that helps you move toward greater stability, well-being, and fulfillment.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brought you to treatment. I will ask questions about your current symptoms, personal and family history, medical background, previous treatment experiences, and the goals you hope to achieve.

My priority is to develop a thorough understanding of you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. We may explore factors such as stress, relationships, sleep, physical health, work or school concerns, and other aspects of your life that may be affecting your mental well-being.

Together, we'll review my initial impressions, discuss potential diagnoses when appropriate, and begin developing a treatment plan tailored to your needs. This may include medication recommendations, therapy referrals, lifestyle interventions, additional evaluation, or a combination of approaches.

Most importantly, you can expect a collaborative, judgment-free conversation where your questions and concerns are welcomed. My goal is for you to leave with a better understanding of what you're experiencing and a clear plan for moving forward.
