My approach to therapy

Patient centered, evidence-based, and supportive therapy.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a calm, supportive, and collaborative first session focused on understanding their concerns and creating a practical treatment plan.

During the first visit, I take time to learn about the client’s current symptoms, mental health history, medical history, medications, sleep, mood, anxiety, attention, stressors, and treatment goals. We also review safety concerns, past treatments, and any relevant labs or records when available.

Clients can expect a judgment-free space where they are heard and involved in decision-making. I use evidence-based medication management along with supportive and solution-focused therapy techniques. When appropriate, we may also use screening tools such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7, ASRS, or other measures to better understand symptoms and track progress over time.

By the end of the first session, the goal is for the client to have a clear understanding of the diagnosis or working impression, treatment options, medication recommendations if needed, safety planning, and next steps for follow-up care.
