Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Michael and I am glad you're here. The journey to healing begins exactly where you are right now, a place where we can embrace compassion, acceptance, and love for ourselves. I hope to work with you in a person-centered, self-determination based approach. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and consider myself "eclectic" meaning I combine several therapeutic styles including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Moral Injury, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBTs). I specialize in trauma and have extensive experience working with Veterans, Military, First Responders, and Law Enforcement. I am open to working with late teens and adults who are ready to do the work and seek meaningful and sustainable change. This is a truly beautiful investment you are making into yourself and I value the trust and vulnerability that makes up the therapeutic relationship and strengthens you along the healing journey.

My approach to therapy

Eclectic, Person-Centered, Value-Based, ground in Self-Determination, Compassion, and Acceptance. I want to meet you where you're at in the present moment, and if that is in a difficult, dark, or scary place, I will step in there with you and together we can work on healing & improving your relationship with yourself and with others.

What you can expect from me

The main goal of the first session is develop a safe space where trust and vulnerability can begin to grow. We are all human beings before anything else and I hope we can connect on a human level and foster common humanity in our time together. While the initial assessment process can be challenging, it is your time to be kind, compassionate, and graceful with yourself as you share your story with me which is a gift I hold onto with great appreciation. Thank you for being willing to share your story with me.
