Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin and Texas with eight years of clinical experience, including inpatient behavioral health. Before becoming a counselor, I spent 20 years in the military and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. I’m also a disabled veteran, a father of three adult children and one younger child, a widower and divorcee, and currently married. My life has taught me that strength and struggle can exist together, and that knowing what needs to change doesn’t always make change easy. I bring that understanding, along with curiosity and honesty, into my work with clients.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a place where you can speak honestly, feel heard, and explore what may be holding you back. My approach is compassionate, direct, and collaborative. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I use these approaches to help you understand patterns, work through difficult experiences, explore your reasons for change, and identify practical steps toward your goals. My work is trauma-informed and respects your experiences, needs, and pace. I welcome difficult conversations without judging you for where you are starting.

What you can expect from me

You don't have to arrive with a clear plan or know exactly what you need. Together, we'll identify what matters to you, explore what may be getting in the way, and work toward realistic steps forward. Mental and physical health, relationships, stress, sleep, and purpose all influence how we experience life. Therapy isn't a quick fix, and you remain an active part of the process. I'll offer support, perspective, and honest feedback while respecting your right to make choices about your own life. My role is to walk alongside you—not to decide your path for you.
