Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Fort Collins, Colorado, and the founder of A Place To Be Counseling. Before starting my private practice, I spent three years in a small group practice and four years working in inpatient facilities, where I supported individuals through some of the most challenging times in their lives. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and specialize in depression, anxiety, out-of-control porn use, and trauma-informed care. My approach is grounded in mindfulness, authenticity, and collaboration—I strive to create a space where you can explore your experiences with honesty and compassion.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative—I believe we do our best work together. I’m not the expert on your life, but I bring experience, insight, and perspective that can help you better understand yourself and create meaningful change. My style is warm, supportive, and grounded, and I’m not afraid to gently challenge you when it feels helpful to your growth. I aim to create a space where you can explore honestly, feel seen, and develop tools to live with greater balance and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we focus on getting clear about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. We’ll talk about what’s been happening in your life, what’s working, and what isn’t, so we can begin to identify meaningful goals together. I believe clarity is an important first step—knowing what we’re working toward helps guide our conversations and your progress. You can also expect to be listened to with care, curiosity, and respect, and to begin feeling whether this is a space where you can be open and supported.
