Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting adults, teens, and families in medical, community mental health, and addiction treatment settings. I’ve worked with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. I bring a calm, supportive, and down‐to‐earth style to therapy so clients feel safe and understood. I also teach social work and sociology at the university level, which keeps me grounded in current research and best practices. Most importantly, I care about meeting you where you are and helping you move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel heard and supported. I use CBT, motivational interviewing, client‐centered therapy, and talk therapy to help you build practical tools and insight. I also have extensive experience in addiction medicine and use evidence‐based methods to support recovery and long‐term stability. I believe therapy works best when we work as a team, moving at your pace and focusing on what matters most to you. My goal is to create a space where you can explore challenges without judgment.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, welcoming conversation where we get to know each other and talk about what brought you in. I’ll ask questions about your goals, your history, and what you hope to change or understand better. We’ll also discuss what approaches—like CBT, motivational interviewing, or client‐centered therapy—might fit your needs. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and what our work together can look like. My aim is for you to leave feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
