Welcome. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Missouri and Kansas with a masters degree from the University of Kansas. I specialize in helping people ages 14 and up heal from trauma. Over the course of working in the field of mental health for over 15 years I have come to realize that trauma is more often than not at the core of what is bringing people into therapy.
We will work together to determine what therapeutic approach will be most beneficial. I am fully certified in both EMDR and somatic experiencing, two leading approaches for treating trauma. I frequently utilize these two modalities in helping to empower people to overcome ways in which trauma can keep us stuck.
In our first session, you will have the opportunity to share what is important to you and what you would like to achieve in therapy. From there, we will create a plan together for how I can best support you in your journey towards healing.
