Great to meet you!

I am Michaela — a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas working with adults and seniors virtually. My clients tend to be women in the thick of it: juggling careers and caregiving, newly postpartum and completely overwhelmed, living with ADHD that was never properly addressed, or carrying grief and anxiety that have built up over years. I am direct, warm, and a little funny — because healing does not have to feel heavy every single session. My motto is “everything is figureoutable,” and I mean it. I will take you seriously without making the whole process feel like a grind.

My approach to therapy

I pull primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma-focused approaches — but I adapt to what you actually need rather than following a rigid script. If you are dealing with trauma, we go at a pace that feels right for you. If you are managing ADHD or anxiety, we build practical strategies you can use in real life, not just in session. I work best with clients who want to understand themselves and are ready to put in the effort — even on the hard weeks. Humor is welcome here. So is crying. So is not knowing where to start.

What you can expect from me

Expect a real conversation, not an intake form recitation. I will ask what brought you here and what you are hoping your life looks like on the other side of this. You get to share as much or as little as feels right — there is no pressure to unpack everything in session one. I will also tell you a bit about how I work so you can decide if I am the right fit. Most clients leave the first session feeling like they have finally started, rather than just talked about starting.
