Great to meet you!

I wound up being a counselor after many years of me-search and research. I traveled internationally, worked for a church, went through my own bouts of trauma and started nerding out on trauma to figure out what the heck was happening to my body. I wanted to make sense of why my body was responding the way it was, and fell in love with researching trauma and responses. I also had an amazing counselor who met me where I was and showed me that emotions do matter and helped me feel safe in them. This all led me back to school to get my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Now, I love my job. I love advocating for people and meeting them where they are. I love implementing my own knowledge and education to help people understand their responses to make sense of them. I also love helping others figure out how to do life well by implementing boundaries, healthy communication and fun.

My approach to therapy

I am very focused on what works for you and what you need that session. If it's sitting in emotion and crying, great, let's do that! If it's thinking about future goals and focusing on how to get there, I'm game. If it's digging into the past and making sense of the present, I'm more than willing to help facilitate that.

What you can expect from me

We will develop your therapeutic goals together and work on achieving them while in therapy sessions.
