Michalina Zell

I'm an LCSW with 16+ years of experience in mental health. After graduating with an MSW from USC in 2006, I have gained years of diverse experience working with children and families, substance abuse, in-patient mental health and trauma response. Prior to my work in private practice, I worked with the County of Orange Mental Health, American Red Cross, and as Clinical Director of a prominent treatment facility. I specialize in mood disorders, substance recovery support, and trauma-focused care.

I am a warm and encouraging “person-centered” therapist and believe that a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and positive regard is essential to our work together. I focus on helping clients identify and break down their barriers that get in the way of living life to the fullest.

Clients can expect an interactive session with a balance of active listening and solution-focused feedback. I will ask the difficult questions that need answers and provide support and gentle guidance through the self-awareness process.
