Great to meet you!

I am a native Floridian. I am a mom of 4 adults and I have 2 dogs. My therapeutic approach is deeply shaped by personal and professional experiences. I have 28 years experience as a School Counselor and 2 years in private practice. I counsel individuals across all age groups.

As a mother from a former multi-ethnic blended family, I understand firsthand the unique challenges and profound joys that come with navigating diverse cultural dynamics. Having lived overseas in Tunis, Tunisia, Africa and Kyiv, Ukraine, I bring a global perspective to my practice. Additionally, my personal experience with congenital health and medical concerns allows me to provide deeply empathetic, specialized support for clients navigating the emotional impact of medical procedures and chronic illnesses.

I hold an MA in Counselor Education and a BA with a minor in studio art from the University of South Florida. By blending evidence-based modalities with creative visual processing, I walk alongside my clients to build practical, collaborative paths toward lasting mental and emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and I strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and comfortable being yourself. My style is empathetic, direct, and solution-focused. I view therapy as a collaborative process, and together we’ll develop a thoughtful plan tailored to your needs, goals, and pace.

We’ll begin by understanding what brings you to therapy, exploring your background, and identifying both immediate concerns and longer-term goals. I may use EMDR, along with grounding and resourcing techniques, to support stress reduction, emotional stability, and healing from past trauma.

Depending on your needs, I also draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on your story, the challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. We’ll clarify your goals and begin building practical strategies to help reduce stress and improve your emotional well-being.

My goal is to provide a collaborative, empathetic, and direct space where you can feel grounded, gain insight, and begin moving forward with greater confidence.
