Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. My name is Michele Kelly, and I have been a practicing clinical social worker for more than 30 years. I hold both an MSW and a Ph.D. and I am licensed in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi, where I provide therapy to clients through telehealth and during in-person sessions in the New Orleans area.

Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges. I also spent many years teaching at the university level.

Today, my practice focuses primarily on helping teens and adults navigate difficult transitions, emotional struggles, and periods of uncertainty or change.

My approach to therapy

Clients describe me as engaging, committed to their well-being, and competent. My approach to therapy is collaborative and individualized. I begin with a comprehensive assessment so that together we can identify the approaches that will be most effective for you. Research consistently shows that tailoring therapy to your needs and goals can enhance treatment outcomes. My goals are to help you develop practical coping skills, strengthen your emotional resilience, deepen your self-understanding, and move forward with greater confidence and hope.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, I strive to create a warm, engaging, and accepting environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your concerns. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your strengths and challenges, and identify the goals you would like to work toward. Together, we will develop a plan to help you achieve your goals and experience meaningful growth.
