Great to meet you!

As an art psychotherapist and licensed mental health counselor with 20+ years’ experience supporting young children, their parents, and pregnant/postpartum women, I specialize in the journey to and through parenthood. Utilizing art, play and talk therapy, I offer you new tools to help understand your complex emotions, your child's behavior, or both.

My approach to therapy

Parents often worry about their child when alarming behaviors emerge. Challenges that arise in childhood can impact one’s mood, how one copes with stress, and identity formation. Similar issues can arise for parents who may be experiencing this role for the first time, impacting one’s ability to bond with their children. Early intervention can support children as young as infancy to promote healthy functioning into adulthood as well as support parents who may be experiencing difficult feelings related to their own history.

What you can expect from me

Parenthood is hard - especially when your child is struggling, or the life you imagined has not come to fruition, or anxiety and complex feelings are interfering with what should be a joyous time in your life. Exhaustion, irritability, and uncertainty can be overwhelming. A difficult diagnosis (grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, confusion, chronic illness, Autism, etc.) can push us to our tipping point. Get to the root of those emotions; and gain the tools to rise above. I look forward to meeting you.
