Michele Suarez

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of PA & NJ. I hold a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Counseling & an Advanced Specialization in Counseling Certificate.

I enjoy working with all ages. My experience includes helping clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and grief & loss. Also I'm passionate helping clients work through relational issues such as communication or boundary setting. I love seeing clients gain confidence in who they are & their strengths. Main methods of therapy I tend to lean towards are: compassion-focused, psychodynamic, attachment styles & emotion-focused. I'm also now trained in Brainspotting.

My desire is for you to feel seen and heard. We'll work on incorporating tools and methods, specific to you, to evoke meaningful and lasting change in your life. I view counseling to be a collaborative process, one that I'll help you navigate. I've been described by clients as compassionate and having an unconditional positive regard but in a way that allows me to confront and challenge my clients while maintaining safety in the room. I also give homework, when appropriate, that aligns with our counseling goals to continue growth outside of counseling sessions.

I begin by taking the time to get to know you and understand what brought you to counseling. Though I primarily listen with a meaning making and a psychodynamic lense, I aim to have an adaptable approach to counseling, in order to better meet each client's individual needs and help each client reach the counseling goals we collaboratively establish.
