My name is Michelle Alden and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia.

I am a certified Anger Management Specialist, Life Coach and am certified in Autism, Dementia/Alzheimer's, PE, and have a Forensic mental Health Evaluation training Certification.

I have worked with diverse population of clients in the community, ranging from military, children, adolescents, geriatric, migrants, couples, and prisoners. I believe that empowering others is important to help them become happier, and advance in their goals, dreams and improve overall health. The methods I use are different depending on the clients, however, my approaches will always be client centered. I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) Narrative Therapy (NT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy (FST), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and many others. My passion which feeds my motivation is to help as many people feel their best, be their best and live life with excitement, happiness and hope.

What you can expect from me

In my first session, I typically want to get to know my client and give them a chance to know me in a therapeutic manner. The session is aimed at looking at goals and expectations, concerns that they may have as well as gathering information about what they need that has brought them to me.
