Great to meet you!

I am a trained clinical psychologist with expertise in addressing issues of grief, loss and coping with extreme stress.

You're a person who finds themselves in the midst of wanting to know what is keeping you from feeling successful and fulfilled. You yearn for deeper connections to others? It seemed everything was fine and then something happened: a work transition, a new relationship, a lost friend or partner and you need to realign! Always frustrated? Want more patience with yourself and others?

I guide you in your journey of self-knowledge by teaching you a way of being that improves your self-love, capacity for joy and growth and your ability to be heal from past heartaches.

My approach to therapy

I am a compassionate and culturally attuned therapist specializing in African-centered healing practices. With a deep commitment to honoring African traditions, values, and experiences, I foster a therapeutic space where clients are encouraged to explore their past, present, and future in a healing-informed way. Drawing from African philosophies of interconnection and resilience, I guide individuals through self-exploration using a trauma informed lens.

This approach grounds additional work in trauma focused therapies and particularly for those balancing and melding their personal and professional identities in freedom and a connected society.

What you can expect from me

I've devoted my 2 decades of work to the study of joy and healing. I am equally versed in trauma therapies to address the acute stress of these experiences.

In working across the U.S. I've learned we are all looking for the same thing: a way to make meaning of ourselves and the communities we are in. I have learned this, in part, for my continued journey of self knowledge as a daughter, partner, sister and parent. You will find a space to reflect on your history, embrace present healing, and envision a future shaped by empowerment and growth. I love watching folks find their newfound for self knowledge and use it to improve their lives and loves.
