Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! I am an independently licensed therapist in both Ohio and Florida with over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and rediscover their sense of purpose, strength, and well-being.

Throughout my career as a director, clinical supervisor, and counselor, I have had the privilege of working with clients from all walks of life who are seeking balance, clarity, and growth. I specialize in supporting first responders and military veterans, as well as adults dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, career challenges, grief, addiction, substance abuse, and other mental health difficulties.

My therapeutic style is open, genuine, accepting, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I believe in meeting you where you are—with compassion, respect, and authenticity. Clients often describe me as straightforward yet warm, offering both empathy and honest feedback to help foster meaningful progress.

My approach to therapy

My Approach

I take an integrative approach, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities to fit your unique needs. These include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing

Together, we’ll explore your experiences, identify strengths, and build practical skills that support lasting change. My goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and confident in moving toward the life you deserve.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect During the First Session

Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and a little intimidating — and that’s completely normal. The first session is a chance for you and me to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust and collaboration.

During our initial telehealth session, we’ll:

  • Discuss what brought you to therapy: You can share what’s been going on in your life, what you’d like to work on, and what you hope to gain from the process.
  • Explore your history and current needs: We’ll review relevant background information, including important life experiences, stressors, and strengths to get a clear picture of your overall well-being.
  • Establish goals together: We’ll identify specific areas for focus—such as managing anxiety, improving communication, or navigating major life transitions—and define what progress looks like for you.
  • Address logistics and comfort: I’ll explain how sessions work, confidentiality guidelines, frequency of meetings, and answer any questions you might have about telehealth or the therapy process.

This first session is about creating a safe, open, and judgment-free space for you to share your story. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. My role is to listen, support, and begin developing a plan that meets your unique needs and goals.

Most clients leave their first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful—with a sense that they’ve already taken a significant step toward wellness.
