Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Michelle, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 17 years of experience helping adults navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, substance use, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting individuals in the LGBTQ+ community and strive to provide an inclusive, affirming space where clients feel respected and understood.

Many of the people I work with are managing a great deal on the outside—work, family, responsibilities—while internally feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. Others may be struggling with difficult relationships, unresolved experiences from the past, or patterns that no longer feel helpful. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to create a space where you feel supported, heard, and empowered to better understand yourself and make meaningful progress.

My experience working across multiple clinical settings allows me to support both immediate concerns and deeper patterns that can be hard to change on your own. Some of my experiences include inpatient treatment centers, outpatient counseling clinics, hospital settings, and inner city community centers- all of which has provided me the opportunity to work with individuals coping with various diagnoses.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I use evidence-based methods like CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, but tailor each session to your specific needs and goals. I balance listening and support with gentle guidance and feedback, so you leave sessions with insight and tools you can actually use. Together, we’ll focus on understanding patterns, building effective coping strategies, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

I work well with adults who are used to holding everything together but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck underneath. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, or burnout, and want both insight and practical tools for change. I also support individuals in the LGBTQ+ community and provide a safe, affirming space. If you’re looking for a therapist who is supportive but also helps you move forward, we’ll be a good fit.

What you can expect from me

I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and finding the right therapist matters. I work to create an environment where you can show up as you are without fear of judgment, while also feeling encouraged and challenged in ways that support growth and healing. In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s been going on and what led you to seek support right now. I’ll ask questions to understand your background, current challenges, and goals, while also giving you space to share at your own pace. Together, we’ll start identifying patterns and areas to focus on. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of how we’ll move forward and what working together will look like.
