Great to meet you!

Dr. Michelle Cavaliere works with diverse populations navigating complex and often stigmatized challenges, including hypersexual behavior, substance use and addiction, anxiety, trauma, and concerns related to sexual identity. She also supports individuals who experience social anxiety, difficulty forming connections, and challenges with self-esteem and emotional regulation.

Dr. Cavaliere is especially passionate about providing inclusive and accessible care, including specialized support and education around sexuality for individuals on the autism spectrum. She recognizes that many neurodivergent individuals are underserved in this area and is committed to offering respectful, developmentally appropriate guidance that supports understanding, confidence, and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Cavaliere’s approach is trauma-informed, nonjudgmental, and deeply rooted in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel seen, respected, and understood. She focuses on identifying the underlying emotional and psychological factors contributing to each client’s challenges.

Her work integrates therapeutic support with education, particularly in areas such as relationships, boundaries, and self-identity. She helps clients build insight, strengthen self-worth, and develop healthier coping strategies. By addressing co-occurring concerns such as trauma, anxiety, substance use, and social connection, she supports clients in achieving greater emotional stability and self-regulation.

What you can expect from me

Initial consultations are conducted by our intake team rather than directly with a provider to ensure faster scheduling. During this brief call, our administrative staff will answer general (non-clinical) questions, collect basic information, and help match you with the most appropriate provider.

While you may request a specific provider, pre-appointment consultation calls with clinicians are not available. All clinical discussions, recommendations, and treatment planning will take place during your scheduled appointment.

This process allows us to prioritize direct patient care while offering timely access to services.

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where they can openly share their experiences and concerns at their own pace. Dr. Cavaliere takes time to understand each individual’s unique background, challenges, and goals.

This initial session is focused on building trust and establishing a strong therapeutic foundation. Together, you will begin to explore key areas of concern and identify goals for treatment, creating a personalized path forward that supports healing, self-awareness, and meaningful change.
